The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management has been designed for learners who wish to develop the skills and knowledge required for roles in junior management. This qualification is 120 credits at Level 4, which is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree. It has been developed with progression in mind, allowing learners to continue their educational journey.
Learners who complete this qualification can progress to the ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management. This further qualification serves as an entry point to the third year of a Bachelor’s degree, providing a seamless pathway for learners.
Recognised by OFQUAL in the UK, the ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management is an efficient pathway to achieving a degree or top-up qualification in this field. It equips learners with essential skills, enhances their CVs, and accelerates the attainment of their educational goals.
This programme is offered on a rolling basis through self-study and remote Tutor support, this mode of study requires self-discipline and motivation to ensure the monthly deadlines are adhered to. We aim to support you to complete this programme in 8 months on average (though it may be longer if the target dates are not met). You will be given access to the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) which contains all the resources required to study each topic and then complete the Assessment Tasks. There is a mixture of formative and summative assessment to allow you to check your progress at the end of each section. You will be provided with Tutor contact details and they are on hand throughout your programme to ensure all your queries and uncertainties are answered promptly.
Learners must complete 8 mandatory units, with each unit carrying 15 Credits and 60 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
This unit will develop learners’ understanding of the national and global business environment and the internal and external circumstances in which different organisations operate.

To develop a knowledge and understanding of fundamental financial and management accounting techniques that are used by managers in organisations and to develop skills enabling learners to apply these techniques.

On successful completion of the Level 4, you will progress to the ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management. Following the award of your Level 5, you will be eligible to enter the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree (Top Up).
These progression options are available under the collaborative agreement between the University of Bolton and WINC Online.
The Top Up Degree is offered through synchronous online learning which uses state of the art lecture technology in place of a traditional classroom, allowing you access to your classes from anywhere in the world!
