This programme has been specifically designed for students who wish to add to their computing-related HND or Foundation Degree (or equivalent) to a full degree, honours degree at a UK university within one year. You will study a wide range of topics, from the management of security, to social and current issues in computing, and professional management and practice. You will also complete a project, which will provide you with the opportunity to apply all of your existing skills to a substantial software development problem.

Applicants with Level 5 qualifications (for example Higher National Diploma, ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Computing) from approved awarding bodies will be considered for transfer to the final stage of the degree programme. Applicants who have successfully completed 2 years of study at a University can be considered for direct entry with advanced standing. Other equivalent qualifications may be accepted for entry to this programme.
Decisions for admissions will be based on overall suitability for the programme and whether the minimum entry requirements of holding GCSE English and Maths at Grades C and above (or equivalent) are met.
Individuals who are based outside of the UK may need to demonstrate English at IELTS LEVEL 6.0

This course is taught using a range of methods, including: lectures, seminars, and practical workshops, where you will develop your skills. Each module of study is assessed by coursework assignments and exams. The individual project may be initiated by the University, the student, or an external client and consists of an end product and a report explaining and evaluating the project process. All modules have elements of practical work, the majority of which require the use of computer systems.
